On June 3, 2021, the presentation of the Roadmap for the development of tourism in the Azov Region was held in Kyiv as part of the USAID project for the development of tourism in the Azov Region. The creation of this strategy became possible thanks to the work of an expert author’s group, which was composed of eight of the best specialists in the tourism industry of Ukraine. More than 100 local experts representing the tourism and hotel business, communities and educational institutions also took part in the development of the Roadmap.
Oleksandr Fainin was the coordinator of the USAID project and co-author of the Azov Tourism Roadmap, and he was the moderator at the presentation. Tetiana Tymoshenko, as a co-author of the Roadmap, became the author of its most important part – the concept of creating a DMO and smart specialization of the Azov regions.
