Fainin Advisory recently convened the first online working session of its international expert network, bringing together specialists from Ukraine, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Kenya, and Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting marked an important step in the transition from isolated project concepts toward a more structured coordination platform focused on regenerative development, tourism recovery, education, advisory services, and international cooperation.
The session included experts in tourism development, psychology, environmental management, education, destination governance, and community-based initiatives. Participants shared practical experience from Europe, Central Asia, and Africa while discussing how different disciplines and regions can be connected through collaborative project development.
During the discussion, several interconnected platform directions were presented:
- Regenerative Landscapes Initiative (RLI)
- Sustainable Tourism Lab (STL)
- Strategic Advisory & Review Services
- Regional Investment Blueprint (RIB)
- European Ukrainian Tourism Initiative (EUTI)
One of the key ideas discussed during the meeting was that tourism should be viewed not as a starting point, but as one of the outcomes of broader territorial, social, and economic development.

A particularly important outcome of the session was the identification of a practical near-term direction focused on guide training and certification programs for vulnerable groups, including Ukrainian veterans, refugees, internally displaced persons, and people affected by trauma and displacement.
Participants discussed the growing need for psychologically sensitive and community-oriented approaches to tourism and guiding, including peer-to-peer formats, emotional intelligence, low-pressure experiences, and hybrid educational models combining online learning with practical workshops.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of international certification standards, potential partnerships with European training institutions, and possible cooperation with organizations operating within the German educational and vocational training ecosystem.
The working session confirmed strong interest in building a flexible international platform capable of combining expert knowledge, field experience, education, advisory support, and practical implementation across different regions.
Fainin Advisory plans to continue developing focused working groups and practical pilot directions in cooperation with international experts and partners.
