European Ukrainian Tourism Initiative
A practical platform for recovery, skills development and international cooperation in tourism
🌿Short Intro
EUTI is an international initiative designed to support the recovery and long-term development of Ukraine’s tourism sector.
The initiative combines education, applied research and real project implementation, linking international expertise with practical actions in Ukrainian regions.
🧩 What Is EUTI
EUTI is not just a training programme. It is a platform that integrates:
- 🏛️ education and skills development
🔬 applied research and analytics
🧭 pilot destination development
- 🌐international cooperation
The key principle is simple: learning is directly connected to real implementation.
🤝 How EUTI Works
Research → Training → Implementation → Reintegration
- EUTI Academy provides knowledge and skills
- Applied Research ensures evidence-based decisions
- Pilot Destinations create real impact
- Return & Reintegration connects people with opportunities

EUTI Academy is the core implementation component of the initiative.
It delivers modular training programmes:
- 2 weeks to 6 months duration
- hybrid format (online and practical modules)
- focus on real skills and application
Participants receive EUTI certificates, with future alignment to international standards.
🔧 Pilot Programme – Guides Courses
One of the first implementation components is Ukrainian-speaking guide training in the EU.
This programme:
💬 strengthens the use of Ukrainian language
👥 improves service quality for Ukrainian tourists
🗺️ creates fast employment pathways
It is developed in cooperation with professional associations connected to international guide federations and European tourism networks.

EUTI includes pilot destination development in Ukraine.
Key elements:
- selection of 1–2 pilot regions
- introduction of destination management approaches (DMO)
- product and experience development
Training is integrated directly into real projects.

EUTI integrates an applied research component supported by an international academic network.
This enables:
- regional tourism diagnostics
- destination assessments
- strategy development
- policy support

EUTI uses tourism as a practical pathway for economic reintegration.
The initiative supports:
- professional opportunities for Ukrainians abroad
- skills development linked to real jobs
- integration into regional projects

International Alignment
EUTI is aligned with international tourism development priorities, including those of UN Tourism.
At the same time, it builds on existing professional and academic networks, allowing fast and practical implementation.

Partnership Approach
EUTI is designed as a collaborative platform.
- National partners: government institutions (e.g. SATD)
- Regional partners: pilot destinations
- International partners: experts, universities, professional networks
